Thornton Beach Bungalows are nestled in the heart of the Daintree Rainforest coast. We are ideally located between the Daintree river ferry crossing and Cape Tribulation, the only place on Earth that two world heritage sites meet, where the rainforest meets the reef. We are just across the road from stunning Thornton Beach - one of the best beaches in the world! The 2 small bungalows contain a queen bed, ensuite bathroom, tea and coffee making facilities, bar fridge, ceiling fans, private bbq areas and private verandahs with views of the Coral Sea, The Big Bungalow/house has 3 bedrooms, an open plan dining and living area, fully equipped kitchen, an open air bathroom, ceiling fans, TV, laundry facilities and a private porch with views to the Coral Sea. All bungalows are fully screened and have use of beach chairs and umbrellas. We are centrally located to all of the Daintree area's tours, attractions, boardwalks and restaurants. Thornton Beach Bungalows is totally off grid and powered by a stand alone solar system.

Car Parking : There is free parking in front of every bungalow
Getting There : Heading north from Cairns or Port Douglas follow the Captain Cook Highway through the township of Mossman. 25 kms north of Mossman is Cape Tribulation rd to the right signposted to Daintree River and Cape Tribulation. Turn right here until you come to the Daintree river then cross the river on the Daintree river car ferry, then travel for 21 kms (20 minutes) north on Cape Tribulation rd until you reach Thornton Beach. Look out for Thorntons Cafe on the right hand side, Thornton Beach Bungalows are opposite, on the left.
