Sonbern Lodge Motel

Sonbern Lodge Motel offers Standard and Deluxe Motel accommodation, with a guest rating of 4 out of 5. Our Boutique Motel provides well appointed studio rooms, all with ensuite, split rev. cycle air conditioning, LDC TV and much more. We also have 2 bedroom Deluxe Cabins with cooking facilities. These sleep a maximum of 6, with a queen bed, 2 singles and sofa bed. Built as a guest house and first opened in 1915, the building retains many of its original fittings in the public areas. Guest rooms have however, undergone extensive modernisation and now provide clean, comfortable, Quality accommodation. We offer a friendly and personalised service and will do what we can to make your stay enjoyable and peaceful. Sonbern Lodge Motel is not a "Pub" so quiet restful nights, can just about be guaranteed. We DO NOT allow pets on site, this includes, in cars in our carpark.

Car Parking : On site car parking is available, but not guaranteed, disability parking can be reserved if requested. Additional parking is available on streets around the Motel. If you intend to bring your boat or trailer please advise us prior to arrival.
Getting There : Sonbern Lodge Motel is located in the centre of Wallaroo. Opposite the Wallaroo shopping centre and Drakes car park. The historic Town Hall is also a landmark that will guide you to John Tce. The nearest major airport is located in Adelaide, a leisurely 2 hour drive from Wallaroo. Buses run from Adelaide and it is advised to reserve your seat with YP Coaches.

Dining

We are well positioned for Dining options and have 3 hotels within 400mts of the Motel. Takeaway food is also available within the same distance and includes Pizza & Pasta, Fish and chips etc. The local shopping complex includes a Drakes supermarket and liquor store, as well as other boutique shops and a Chemists. There are also 3 Cafes in the main St and also a Bakery and Cafe down by the Wharf. All of this within easy walking distance of 200 to 800 mts from our front door.

Terms and Conditions

Booking Policy

ALL bookings must be secured with a payment equal to 1 nights tariff. Bookings made within 14 days of arrival, full payment is due and payable on the day. All bookings are to be paid in full 14 days prior to arrival. (Flexibility may be given during OFF PEAK).

Deposit Policy

Deposit payment are required at the time of making your reservation. PEAK SEASON, balance payments, are due 21 days prior to arrival . Bonds are payable on arrival.

Cancellation Policy

OFF PEAK: bookings cancelled 48 hours or less, prior to arrival, a fee equal to 1 nights accommodation.

PEAK: bookings cancelled 14 days or less prior to arrival, forfeit full amount.

SPECIAL EVENTS & LWE's: cancellations less than 21 days prior to arrival. Full payment is non refundable.

(partial refunds may be offered if rooms are rebooked for entire time).

No Show Policy

In the event of a "no show", (guest does not arrive and fails to advise the Motel), full payment of the reservation is NON refundable.

Child Policy

We welcome children at Sonbern Lodge Motel and expect parents and children to respect other guest right to a quiet and relaxing stay. Children under 2, sharing existing bedding with adults, stay at no cost. All children, requiring the use of motel beds, will be charged at the current child rate.

Check-in Policy

All guests will be required to complete a registration form on arrival. All Guests are required to pay a bond of $100-00, this covers any incidentals or damage and is refunded up to 5 days post check out . Smoking in rooms and stains/vomit etc, on bedding, towels furniture and floorings, constitutes damage, which will be deducted from the bond.

Other Policy

Sonbern Lodge Motel "DOES NOT" cater for end of year sporting trips and reserves the right to eject noisy and intoxicated guests, without refund. Any damage to Motel property is the responsibility of the guest who completed the registration form. We respect your right to the use of Motel property and your privacy. We also expect you to take care, when using Motel property and not to abuse other guests, staff or Motel property.

QUIET TIME starts at 10-30pm! (Failure to comply may result in Loss of BOND or additional charges).
