Booking Policy

**BOOKING POLICIES**

TRANSFORMATION COMMITMENT POLICIES

We're a small transformation centre with only 4 suites. When you book, we're
holding space that could serve another couple ready for restoration.

DEPOSIT: First night secures your dates
CANCELLATION:
- 28+ days notice: full refund
- 14-28 days: 50% refund if we relet your suite
- Under 14 days: 100% charge unless we relet your suite

We balance business sustainability with genuine empathy for unexpected challenges.

Deposit Policy

A deposit equal to the first night of stay is required to secure reservation. Deposits will be refunded if 21 days notice is given. Refunds of cancellations or changes within 21 days are subject to re-letting of bungalows (some conditions apply).

A 2% surcharge is added to credit card transactions, which is less than what we are charged ourselves by our 'mates' at the merchant banking services. All of your details are kept as strictly confidential.

We encourage guests to ensure that credit card details provided are valid and have sufficient funds to pay for the stay at Alaya. Please be aware, that cards used for bookings with incorrect / invalid details or older invalid cards, may be treated as fraudulent in nature with appropriate reports made to institutions and authorities.

Please ensure that cards you booked with have sufficient funds in them from the time of booking until after departure, as we reserve the right to charge this card 100% of the agreed fee for stay at anytime from the booking date including one week after departure.

Cancellation Policy

A cancellation fee of $50 applies in all circumstances. It is recommended that travel insurance be obtained to cover unexpected circumstances.

Cancellations or changes within 21 days of arrival may be subject to 100% of room booking. This will be subject to re-letting of rooms, considering that others are not able to book the allocated room and most people book rooms at least 4 weeks prior to arrivals. This is always tempered with a level of common sense and empathy, whilst also balancing this with the notion of striving to be an ongoing successful business operation.

No Show Policy

100% payment will be taken immediately upon no show. We are flexible and will support challenges should they arise, but will also temper this approach with the notion that we are running a business and have held the space that nobody else could have used.

Child Policy

ALAYA is an adults only retreat, designed to help couples and solo travelers completely Restore - Revitalise & Reconnect.

Check-in Policy

CHECK-IN: 2pm
CHECK-OUT: 10.30am

IMPORTANT: Alaya Ascend is an adult restoration environment. We do not accommodate
children to maintain the transformation conditions our couples require. Check in time is from 2 pm, check out time 10.30 am.

We will text you on the morning of arrival with all relevant details.

We aim to be at the retreat to meet our people, show you around and direct you to your room (MB: 0404 381 533).

Other Policy

Smoking is strictly confined to outdoors only. We will be very harsh on smoking indoors and this may incur the full cost of an internal repaint. Damages to be reported immediately.

We are very easy-going people and we aim to provide an exceptional experience and we insist that all guests make this oasis their own. We also ask that all guests respect the rights of other guests in relation to noise and strive to treat our retreat as if it were their own. Mutual respect and kindness is a prerequisite for staying at Alaya Ascend.

Water is the life blood of this retreat and we are 100% self-sufficient with all water coming from our tanks. Please consider that any yellowing in the water is due to leaf tannin and we do ask that guests are mindful of their water use and wastage, including spa usage.


Cleaning - we expect that all rooms are left in a good condition with dishes etc washed and put away and rubbish placed in the outside bins provided. Should this not be possible, our cleaning service will do it for a minimum fee of $60. Rooms left in a unreasonable mess will incur these additional fees immediately.
