Darkest nights are around the New Moon but we rate sky watching from 3 days after the full moon to 3 days after the new moon.

Dark Sky Eco Retreat luxurious yurt-style lodges nestled in woodlands with views of the Emu paddocks. Lodge 1 The Banksia has 3 bedrooms, sleeps 6 people in 3 queen beds and Lodge 2 The Grevillea sleeps 4 people in 2 queen beds.
The retreat is totally "off the grid". The private lodges boast all the creature comforts you need including queen sized comfortable beds, a spacious living area, well-appointed kitchen and separate dining room. You can book a private Emu safari in dedicated golf carts, a skywatching experience from our onsite private observatory or a bush walk to our heritage listed cave with ancient rock carvings.
To book The SKY WATCHING experience The EMU SAFARI or the HERITAGE CAVE tour Select the ADD ON and nominate the number of guests over 16 to be included. Guests under 14 are free.
Guests of the Banksia Lodge that select the Emu Safari will enjoy the use of the golf carts for the balance of their stay.
Both lodges have outdoor spas overlooking the farm and the Emus.
We are a truly off grid property yet with all the modern conveniences, guests can stay connected with free STARLINK very fast internet. Smart TVs deliver many apps for you to sign in on and stay connected. Foxtel is also available to both lodges.

Booking Policy
Bookings are taken on line or via phone
Deposit Policy
A $200.00 deposit is payable at the time of booking. The balance is due at least 14 days prior to arrival.
PAY BY EFT. If you wish to pay by EFT after filling in your details in the payment section select DEPOSIT then in payment method select BANK TRANSFER from the drop down menu.
After you hit PROCEED your booking will be confirmed and you can then make your EFT to the banking details shown on your booking confirmation.
If you want to make the deposit payment on your credit card select DEPOSIT and you will be charged the deposit amount plus the fee only. 14 days prior to your arrival the balance of the stay, plus credit card fee, will automatically be deducted from your credit card.
If you would prefer to pay the balance via another method please notify us by email and we will cancel the automatic payment schedule.
If you select the full amount for the stay it will be deducted from your credit card immediately.

Cancellation Policy
We are a small business and cancellations affect us greatly.
If you cancel a booking you will only receive a refund if the dates are booked by us to another guest for the same value (a $100 administration fee would apply). You will be charged the total of the reserved stay under all circumstances.

No Show Policy
No refunds will be offered in case of no shows.
Child Policy
All children are welcome. They must be under adult supervision at all times.

After 10pm all noise is to be kept inside with doors closed. Disturbance to residents on the property, guests and neighbours (including excessive noise and music) is prohibited at any time of the day or night and may result in eviction without refund.
We do not accept Schoolies, hens or bucks event reservations. Minimum length of stay restrictions apply to certain rates during special event periods. Rates quoted are in Australian dollars and are subject to change at any time. Rates are inclusive of GST where applicable. Any verbal quote given is an estimate of price only, which is subject to written advice on booking confirmation.
