Yeagarup Hut

Yeagarup Hut is a 4WD accessible only camping ground which is privately booked. You, and your friends have it all to yourselves as it is available for exclusive use bookings only and can cater for groups of up to 40 people.
Located on a DBCA maintenance access track which is inaccessible to the general public around a 45min drive from Pemberton township, on the south side of the Yeagarup Dune system; the largest landlocked dune system of their type in the Southern Hemisphere. From the hut it is a 6km 4WD drive to the Southern Ocean and the mouth of the Warren River.

As the river winds through to the coast, campers have the opportunity to swim, canoe, fish, 4WD and adventure with their family or group.

The site is a perfect base to walk or 4WD the Oilwell track to the Warren River.
Every season offers a new experience, from rugging up around the campfire in Winter to Spring wildflower season, as well as Summer swimming, fishing and seasonal marroning in the Warren River. Of course you can also just kick back and simply enjoy the amazing Autumn ‘down south’ weather!

A secure and secluded site with everything you need

2 large unsecured rooms at the rear of the hut suitable each for a family or 5 adults.
A gas BBQ and a wood BBQ ring (seasonal)
Double sink available for kitchen with dish strainer
Preparation benches available to prepare food- BYO chopping board
2 large undercover tables with bench seating
Hot water system for showers.
During fire season, please bring your own wood - as wood is not available from the bush – you must bring your own firewood.
Cleaning material provided. You are required to leave it clean and as found on departure. There is a cleaning bond which will be returned once checked on departure.

Getting There : Yeagarup Hut is located around 45min drive from Pemberton township, on the south side of the Yeagarup Dune system; the largest landlocked dune system of their type in the Southern Hemisphere. From the hut it is an 8km Travel west from Pemberton along Vasse Hwy to Old Vasse Rd, turn left onto old Vasse and first rigjt onto Ritter Rd (1km). Travel 12km down Ritter Rd to the lake and reduce your tyres to at least 12psi during summer. 4WD drive through the dunes to the other side of the dunes. Follow the map included in your info pack to get the specific directions - you may also like to check out google maps as the hut is fairly obvious off the Yeagarup Dunes track towards the Southern Ocean and the mouth of the Warren River.

Booking Policy

A government issued valid Id proof is required for booking.

Deposit Policy

Groups are requested to pay a $500 bond per group prior to arrival. This can be used to cover any additional cleaning (note if the place is damaged or significant cleaning is required then additional fees will be required to cover this).

Cleaning instructions are given prior to arrival, please read and bring extra items if you think you will need them.

Note this is a new rule implemented January 2024 due to a few groups not following procedure.

Cancellation Policy

Booking fees apply if booked through an agent.
All hirers must agree to pay 25% deposit to secure a booking with the balance due no later than 7 days prior to hire date (unless otherwise arranged).

No Show Policy

Deposit will not be refunded if cancelled 7 days or less before arrival or no show.

Child Policy

All children are welcome.

Check-in Policy

Check-In starts after 2 PM.

Other Policy

Please note in accepting the booking
1. The boomgate to be kept locked at all times
2. This is National Park, so there is no collection of firewood at all times and NO dogs (pets) allowed.
3. The Yeagarup Hut is to be left as it was found, in a clean and tidy state. There is an additional cleaning deposit which will be returned after the campground is checked after departure.
There will be additional charges should this not be the case. Mop etc is provided.

If you can please let us know an ETA for your arrival into Pemberton so we can be there to meet you and have the gate code for you on arrival.

Should you wish to hire tents, stretchers or kitchen equipment please let us know as we can organise this to be there for you prior to your arrival.
It is a requirement for our campers to keep the place neat and tidy, the cleaning procedure is onsite as well as included here to download. If the hut is not presentable on your arrival please let us know as we may not have been able to check on the site between groups.

Pemberton township has an IGA open 7 days, a BP garage (closed Sunday for shop) and a hardware at the General Store. Ice is available at all venues and Bait & tackle available at only the Garage and General Store.

The hut is 4WD accessible only - some soft roaders will find the conditions hard. Be aware your tyre pressures may need to go to less than 10 to get up the first dune.

Please be aware that the Terms and Conditions of your booking must be read. All fire restrictions must be obeyed and firewood must not be collected from National Park. If the fire ban is lifted then a bag of firewood will be supplied - you are welcome to bring your own in as well.
